I was able to keep all but one loop of faces from the bishop and make the Queen just manipulating edge loops.
Just to be clear. I had saved a copy of the bishop without the notch and used that as my base which made this exercise really simple.
I thought he said no crown at all but he modeled the basic ring of the crown so I went ahead and modified my model to match.
