Every pirate needs a very fat parrot with a mean face (to match the pirates face, obviously) to rest on his/her shoulder!

What a piratre first need is a reason and someone to look up to . This render shows luffy’s straw hat, which shanks gave him and after that he promised that he will have a pirate crew as amazing as his .
Post processing is done in snapseed .

FedPete brought the spade, Start digging! Pirates’ sea chests need burying when full.
Based on drawings of a real sea chest. The ‘suitcase’ of the era. They seem cumbersome to the modern eye, but were commonplace.
Out of time for refinement. Lost a day trying to render it, while inside a larger working version that I had not hidden from render, made it seem like the camera was looking at some other place not the same as the viewport. Sigh.
Lost several days trying to clean up the mesh from what was supposed to be a simpe skull and initials carved in. Still guess it’s all learning.

There we go people, here’s what I think is the most important thing to any pirate, the crazy, crappy pirate face that any pirate must have. You just can’t be a pirate, if you have a Harry Potter face, that not gonna happen! You can fish crab with a boat if you like, you can be a knight with a sword too, treasure hunter like chest full of gold just as much as pirate do, but the crappy hipster look that pirate has, this is the thing that make a true, full patch, pirate as I know it!
