Lots of backwards and forwards and rewatching the video to try and understand how to do this successfully.
Think this task could be communicated more clearly.

Can you explain how you sorted it out?
What was confusing? We did this task several times, now. A couple times in the beginning, and we’re doing this twice now (iirc). Let me re-explain: you simply ALT+C, convert to mesh, save original data if you want. Hide it all from being rendered and seen. This is all that it takes. If you’re still confused, let me know–I’ll happily answer your questions as I use this knowledge regularly.
@Rohan_Saxena –To be honest, I can’t remember. It was two and a half months ago. And I haven’t been doing the course for a while. Will leave a response if it comes back to me.
@LucidityOfPower – Telling me how many times something has been done doesn’t help the fact that it was a difficult process for me. Well done to you for finding it easy.
You’re right. It doesn’t help to repeat something over and over. I completely agree.
Okay, so is there anything I can do to help you understand it better? I know that there’s a bias in people who think something is easy in that there’s the expectation that others will equally find something easy. I have this expectation with family and I react in an “up-ending tables” fashion (i.e., I tend to say that if I figured it out, you can, too, so leave me alone–although this is only with family). I’m only trying to help you if I can, and only if you want it.
@LucidityOfPower No stress. I have no complaints with how this lecture was delivered, neither do I have any complaints with that repetition part that @SsCc mentioned. But don’t worry. All i’m saying is that I am reaching that end result of creating the curve into a mesh object. It’s just that I miss out that part where when I convert the curve to mesh, and select keep original, my object doesn’t disappear like in the video. Then when I unselect it, it goes away. But there isn’t another object created in the outliner. So… … … I don’t know.
@SsCc How much of the course have you completed?
I hope he doesn’t find my responses stressful. :\ I can have that effect on some people because of how I write. As for disappearing meshes, we don’t need to keep any of those things anyway. If you get the end mesh the same as what Mikey, then it probably doesn’t matter?
