Scrapped the whole original plan and re-did from the basics. Lessons learned:
-Lack of textures (due both money and rare kind of certain materials) make the final render a pure hell
-Unwrap objects is a russian rulett, Blender does it right sometimes, but other occasions you have to do it face by face
-Array modifier+seamlless textures is not equal perfect render. For example: my wall pieces put together revealed the seams. Good for brick/stone textures, not so good with more homogeneous textures.
-My blender started to chrash nearly the end, have no idea why. Maybe something with the array modifiers? Some textures are left unfinished due to this.
