Since my lamp won’t articulate in the same way as the demonstration one, I threw together some nonsense to practice constraints.
I successfully got:
bottom and middle arm constrained to only rotate local space x ±90 degrees
end arm constrained from being rotatable & only able to move local space Y a certain amount for extend/contract movement (this is the main type of articulation in my actual lamp)
