I like many other here were having problems with the intellisense in VS code.
I had tried loads of suggestion and spent hours trying to figure out the problem and the only thing that seemed to work was switching to visual studio.
The set up is quite easy and all you really have to do is change the External script editor to Microsoft Visual Studio.
I’ve also found that debugging with Unity via breakpoints, etc. is much better supported by Visual Studio Community 2022.
The C#-for-Unity plugins for VS Code are not well reviewed, and I was never able to get breakpoints actually breaking in there. With VS Community 2022, no problem.
yeah i think i’m just going to stick with VS for the 2d unity course.
I was having a nightmare getting Intellisense to work but followed the video above and now all is working. It only worked once I’d regenerated the project files though. easy step to miss
Does anyone have a solution to this when using Ubuntu 22.04? Visual Studio Community Edition is not an option.
