Just finished modelling this gun after several days. This is a prop I hope to use for an animation using the Agent 327 character.
Looking great. I love weapons of all kinds, but so far swords and daggers are the only kinds I’ve tried modeling. I need to try some revolvers and rifles at some point.
Very nice work on the details of this model. The textures are great as well
Thanks guys! Yea, I had a lot of fun on this model. Can’t wait to use it for something
Looks great!
Only issue I can see is that you would have to line the iron sights up on the weapon if you plan to use it in a FPS as it isn’t practical as is, even though it looks cool.
Wow this looks so realistic, congrats! The texture is amazing, I can even see some scratches over the metal parts. Maybe the handle could look more worn too, to match? Just a thought.
Yea it’s completely impractical… my best mate also said the sights are awful haha I was trying to match a reference image of Agent 327’s signature revolver and the proportions are ridiculous!
Yea I could definitely add some damage to the handle too. Great idea! I’ll update it here
Very nice model and particularly good texture effects.
Only slight issue of some stretching on the handle finger grooves. Though I guess any use of it would have a hand round that area anyway.
Ah yea, the model isn’t UV unwrapped yet so everything is procedural, that’ll be due to the noise texture being projected and scaled along the Z axis. I should send it over to substance painter to texture the handle. I might try that tomorrow and post the results of that.
I appreciate all the feedback so far
For me, the low poly mesh and the way the edge loops are done. Impressive!
Nice bevels. A good prop
I miss some ‘rimms’ on the hammer? Your thumb would slide off, too smooth.
But minor detail.
Yes I was thinking of adding some ridges to the hammer too. I might add them in later when I make it game ready.
Right now I’m using it to make a short animation.
Oh this is so neat. So you’re putting this into a game? Do keep us updated, the designs are great!
