Stylised Female Face

I had a go at sculpting Grant’s stylised female face tutorial. It’s the first time I didn’t “blindly” following the video step-by-step. I took a 3/4 view of Grant’s final head render as reference and started sculpting. For the hair step I will revert to following step-by-step as I’ve never sculpted hair before.

I must admit out of everything I’ve learnt over the last two months, character sculpting is definitely my favourite by far - and the one I seem to have picked up more easily (a pen tablet is a must though).

Great model!

What do you think about the ears?

Ears were difficult! They’re not as a stylised as Grant’s but I think proportion wise and position they’re ok? Any suggestions?

They look good, but maybe too far, behind the neck …
But don’t listen to this comment …

I think they we’re a smidge too far back but the thin stylised neck coupled with the perspective exaggerated the effect. I’ve bought them forward a tad so the front of the ears are in line with the middle of the cranium.

Awesome model. I’d move the ears up. Grant mentions something between the eyebrow and bottom of the nose.

Here the ear looks like the sit on the jawbone.

Other than this, your sculpt looks fantastic!
