After pressing down the Commit key, it just leaves me this message:

Hi Denis,
Did you press the commit button for the first time or did you create commits earlier?
Give this a look and let us know how you get on as this might give you a thread to pull on.
I am not familar with macOS so i really cannot help much but googling that error code may help.
