Unreal 4.22 up to the course task lesson, I then upgraded to 4.25 last night
in lesson 104 on BuildingEscape Game:
I’m getting the following errors on VS Code
#include errors detected. Please update your includePath. Squiggles are disabled for this translation unit
(D:\C_Unreal_course\Building escape\BuildingEscape\Source\BuildingEscape\OpenDoor.cpp).
cannot open source file “OpenDoor.generated.h” C++ 1696
{
“resource”: “/d:/C_Unreal_course/Building escape/BuildingEscape/Source/BuildingEscape/OpenDoor.h”,
“owner”: “C/C++”,
“code”: “1696”,
“severity”: 8,
“message”: “cannot open source file “OpenDoor.generated.h””,
“source”: “C/C++”,
“startLineNumber”: 7,
“startColumn”: 1,
“endLineNumber”: 7,
“endColumn”: 32
}
I have added the location of the generated code to the system PATH windows environ , not sure is
this the right thing to do, going round in circles also added the properties_JSON setting index resources as per lesson 9
section 1 on 4.25
I have been using unreal 4.22 until now, and upgraded to 4.25 and now I cannot open my unreal project in 4.22
so when I try to open it says a newer verison has modified it,
question "?
How do I fix this include error so that VS compiler can find the generated code, and what can I do to get my 4.22 compiling in 4.25 as I am getting the following errors whe I try to open it in 4.25?
How do I keep my source VS and also Unreal source safe ?
many thanks , I’m new to this
