I don’t know why there are 2 missing faces, I’ve outlined them in red on the pic I’ve attached. I’ve tried selecting the vertices, in edit mode, and pressed f to fill them in, but it doesn’t work lol xxx
check the face orientation. also might be multiple vertices top over each other
If Dev2’s good basic first check does not work in this case.
Please show FULL screenshots of the mesh in edit mode, preferably wire frame and vertex mode. So others have some chances of seeing what the problem might be. Come on, you have been around long enough o know people need the panels too see potentially useful info.
It’s good to see you haven’t gone the easy route and are actually working to improve yourself. This already looks miles better than your previous efforts.
As for the issue, the screenshot is not enough to go on, it looks like a face orientation problem to me but it’s impossible to tell conclusively with only seeing one angle.
I did encounter a weird bug in Blender 3.6.1 where certain faces would not fill for me no matter what after applying a skin modifier, so it could also be something similar. I also had a weird bug in 3.6.1 where subdiv modifier would not render in viewport… so if you’re using that version maybe try a different one.
Thank you, but could you explain what you mean a bit more? xxx
Please don’t tell me off, I’m so sorry for not asking correctly, but I am mentally ill with learning disabilities, I need positive strokes otherwise I completely break down. I know it’s hard work to learn blender, but my dream is to draw my own avatar. It takes me a long time to learn stuff, but what’s the point of life if you don’t have ambitions? I don’t know what face orientation means and I don’t know what you mean by panels, I’m trying my best, but I’m very thick, xxx
Thank you so much for helping me, I do try to put my best efforts in, but I do suffer from both bi-polar and learning disabilities. It is my dream to create my own avatar, but blender is challenging, I find learning very hard, but I’m not going to stop trying. Do you think it’s possible for me to do this in the next 5 years? I really value feedback. I’m embarrassed to say this but I’m also a victim of child abuse from 4 years old, this effects my learning abilities because when I was victimised I would try to escape the abuse by separating what was happening to my body from my mind. I’m sorry to tell you all of this, it probably makes you not want to talk to me, but the more people who understand my issues openly the better I feel, sort of sharing the pain. I have wonderful friends across the world, I love people and I am looking for friends as well as trying to learn blender. I know I’m not getting great results but I really do put 40 to 60 hours in a week, for the last 8 years, and I do get better gradually. I hope this is not too much for you, I don’t want you to think that I will try to tell you all my problems and that I will be super needy, I just get too involved with whatever I happen to be working on. Just got back from a holiday, I’m trying to focus my attention on my goal - create an avatar - most of my time goes into my studies, I’m never around much, but when I am I can come across too intense, I have to spread myself thin across my friends and family. Anyway nice to meet you and I will see what version of blender I have, not that I have any idea how to chose the right version for my hard wear, maybe you could help, but only if you have the time? xxx
For normal issue -----
red face means its inside out you can flip the normal by using SHIFT+N in edit mode after selecting it
---------- for multiple vertices you can select all in edit mode then use ‘m’ to merge vertices by distance
— third thing i think of is you accidently joined incorrect vertices which can be seen in wiremesh if its not Dence
I am also learning it
Dont forget to turn it off once done [Flip Orientation]
I updated to a newer version of blender and it worked, thanks so much lol xxx
nice one xxx
