Strike.. with too much shadows


I didn’t manage to make the shadow less dark. Any idea how to that with blender 2.9?

You’re probably using point light, close by …

Use a point lamp, put it farther away. Getting darker, so increase lamp power. And in crease the lamp size. Which defuses the light.

IMO The shadows are not dark, the problem seems more the scene is swamped in purple. Then blue is a close colour and not much contrast to the purple either.

yes, moving the point lamps farther, increasing the power and increasing the radius, made a much nicer on the shadows, thanks @FedPete !


@NP5 , I am not sure what you mean, should I use different color hues? My idea was to make everything purple-ish. Though, I did remove the purple on the lamp color, this was probably too much :slight_smile:

In the course you will learn the technique for three-point lighting. One lamp for the main light. the other to light some dark spots. Be patient have fun!
