Still no explanation nor references for the XR Controller Action-Based script

I am still quite lost with the XR Controller Action-Based script. The instructor is providing small and clear steps but with no explanation nor providing and references or reading materials. I still feel like I am in the dark. I was hoping for learning and understanding how to use and manipulate these scripts, rather I feel like the end-results would be just a VR game that I still don’t fully understand how and why it works.

Also this whole XR button lecture is such a detour with such a primitivize end results.

Hi,
I had a look at the end of lecture resources for the this lecture and it is using basic run of the mill Unity functionality albeit VR related. All it does is change the button colours based on how you interact with them.

You won’t get a detailed explanation in most of the lectures because the course expects you to be exposed to Unity and ideally you’ll have completed the 3D course before starting this one. VR is considered intermediate level subject matter and as such is a little more complex than, say, creating a simple 3D game.

Given that, I spent about 4 hours troubleshooting my own issue with the drawers when doing the course before taking over as the TA where I had made a simple typo.

My suggestion here is rewatch, look at the code and if still struggling to understand, seek additional learning resources and read the Unreal documentation. Google will help you find what you need.
