I didn’t make the connection that I could substitute newLayer for cameraRaycaster.currentLayerHit because I wasn’t sure (Layer newLayer) was the same in cursoraffordance as it was in cameraraycaster or what was actually being passed in. I’m sure I’ll get used to this modern syntax eventually.
