Am I seeing this correctly, you have lights inside each of the pieces?

Great effect. When all done, in a slightly darkened room scene will look very nice I suspect.
Does each piece have a battery compartment in its base?! 
Strong one to power the levitating heads too.

For me, at first, it looks like a glass -see-through- effect.
