I would like to cut the image in the bottom left out of this larger image. Does anyone know how this can be done? I’ve tried messing around in GIMP but I can’t find a simple and clean way to do it.
What you are looking for is the magic wand tool, you will need to do some searching on which settings to use to get the best result or how to use it.
I don’t have GIMP but gave it a go with paint.NET and am attaching the result. I’m surprised it came out that well as usally it’s hard to get a good result when all the colors are so similar but my knowledge of photo editing is very limited. It still requires some cleanup though.
