Great adaptation of the course.
I did something similar when I did the course, then adapted it for a Christmas scene. Last year or one previously.

This is really nice 
. Did you use the real snow add on or you created the snow with modifiers?

As I recall I used the snow add on for all the snow on the models/scene, and particles for the falling snow, just made one snowflake.
