Another problem I ran into was how to snap in Blender.
I watched several videos before someone explained it to me & I kind of figured out how to snap the wall pieces together.
As far as snapping is concerned in Blender it is not as straight forward as it should be.

Yes after the complete course use of modular and snapping I expected its use here too. However in this course, ‘modular’ is being used differently. Basically more ‘reusable parts’. Yes in some places snapping could be used, as in straight level walls, but much of the castle is just placed and at any angle, overlapping sections where needed.
Blender snapping is a bit tricky at times but does work when used to it.

It also depends on how your viewpoint is set up.
You need to help Blender a bit, to identify (choosing the viewpoint) which elements (vertex, edge, face) you want to snap. Blender lives in a 3D world, you are looking at a representation in 2D, the viewport.
