Snapping appears broken in 3.5 as none of the advice in the video worked.

It works fine for me.
Can you show and explain what is not working?
Have you set the snapping to vertex, or whatever item you are trying to snap to?

The screenshot can be done by Blender itself, via the ‘Window’ menu bar top left hand side.
On that menu drop down is ‘save screenshot’.
