After following all the steps, my object is not snipping to vertex

Don’t you need to be in edit mode for this?
Not sure about vertex, but definitely used snap to face outside of edit mode.

It will snap in object mode, Just tried it.
My guess is your cursor is way off from where there is anything to snap to. It is a little odd in function. It is the cursor position that is ‘looking’ for a snapping item, not the closest vertex that snaps on the item grabbed and moving. I tend to put my Cursor arrow close to the vertex I want to snap to something before pressing G. Then it ‘feels’ more right. Your moving the object cursor is snapping close to the point you want to go somewhere specific. Hard to get across in text. lol.
