Thanks for the review, AndyError!
Just in case you aren’t familiar with cyberpunk: (Else feel free to skip this paragraph lol)
“Cyberpunk” is a sub-genre of sci-fi that focuses on computer-based societies. Things like “Ghost in the Shell”, “Deus Ex”, “Blade Runner”, or “Shadowrun” fall into this category. In this kind of fiction you’ll find things like internet-connected brain implants, societies of androids, and shadowy criminals, good or bad, that can hack anything…
I suppose this game might take place a little closer to today, maybe “pre-cyberpunk”? Haha. The theme idea basically being that you’re a lone vigilante with a keyboard in a world that’s constantly networked, and unfortunately is mostly controlled by shadow governments and power-hungry corporate empires.
As a hacker/decker, you’re attempting to change the world by taking things into your own hands and sabotaging institutions that take advantage of people. I tried to show that each one of these actions may or may not go as planned. Throwing wrenches in the global machine can have serious consequences.
Thanks so much for playing!
