I used several cubes but a lot of extrudes and merged vertices. The hardest part was getting the camera and lighting configured so that the rendered image wasn’t all in shadow.

There is a tab called ‘world’, it controls light and colour of the background (your blueish gray).
Found it. Thanks. Big improvement over putting up a blue-ish plane in the background.
