Hi,
I am not sure if I have to tell it here or in the Q&A section under the video, but …
I have a slight problem with the lecture content about the gravity, @Michael_Bridges mentioned that the 9.81 value in the Z axis is in m/s and that after one second the cube should have traveled 9.81 m.
In fact the gravity value is an acceleration, so it is 9.81 m/s² as it is in blender (checked in blender manual and by testing) and if you want to know the distance traveled after t seconds, in our case (free fall, no initial velocity, no air friction, uniform gravitational field) the formula is :
d = 9.81/2 * t²
(Check https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_fall#Uniform_gravitational_field_without_air_resistance d=|y(t)-y0|)
So for example the cube should have traveled 4.905 m after 1 second and 19.62 m after 2 seconds of free fall.
I am sure it is just a tiny mistake made while recording the video, and that @Michael_Bridges was perhaps a little tired in the moment, but because I have done quite a bit of physics I need to report it.
I am sorry if I am a bother, but so far the lectures had quite high quality content and I just want to keep it that way.
Cheers !
