I decided to try and do something a little different by jumping in with a twin boom for my first model. I can get overly ambitious sometimes, but I think I pulled it off despite forgetting to add the propellers.
I started with the basic blocked out cockpit and expanded out to one of the wings first, I then expanded that wing into the boom and tail piece. After fleshing out the shape a little I duplicated my object and mirrored the copy, then I joined the two parts into one object and removed any duplicate vertices/edges/faces. I also recalculated the outside of the model at this stage as some faces had flipped when I mirrored the copy.
I then began to shape the cockpit and got a little carried away by making the shape maybe a little more complicated than it needed to be. At one stage I removed 2 square faces from the rear of the cockpit and replaced them with 4 triangular faces because the squares didn’t quite fit nicely.
I suppose I could have rounded the wings a little more than I did for a nicer shape like the cockpit had, but like I said I got carried away with the cockpit and intended to have a much simpler shape when I started.
P.S. Screenshot because I’m still too new to know how to render haha
