Simple Shooter - Debug Camera Problem?

Hello all,

When I compiled the code in the first part opf the lecture the Debug Camera is rotated 90 to the left of the player so the way the camera is pointing is different to the player. Is this correct? I tried changing the FOV angle and as expected it didn’t change anything.

I am having trouble believing that it is meant to do this!?! But looking at the video I swear that the camera is not facing the right direction either. So if it is not, how can I rememdy this situation? Is it possible to move on with the course or must I stop here until there is a solution (like editing the Yaw value in the players rotation) before introducing even more errors?

I am using Unreal 4.27.2 is that helps diagnose the problem!

@DanM was pretty adamant that there is no problem on 4.27, “It appears to be working correctly in 4.27 on my end. Could just be a minor bug?”

Any help is really appreciated!

Yes. It’s only a visual representation for debug purposes.

Re-tested on 4.27 and it does appear to be correct, it didn’t on the prior version I tested it on.
