Just a simple test level
I think your upload may have failed Saeed, edit your post and try again. Any problems please let me know
Hi Rob, I have no idea why my upload keeps failing… Is there an upload limit?
I was trying to upload a 14 seconds footage of my level as an mp4 format and a size of 5.55 MB i guess too big to upload?
Hi Saeed,
There is an upload limit yes, but it’s 10mb, and .mp4 files are supported.
Is there a link I can download the .mp4 from (perhaps in a .zip file) and I will then see if I can upload it for you from this end?
Thanks Rob I have provided a link to download my footage so you can try to upload it for me, though I was hoping the issue can be resolved in a more convenient manner because I was about to upload another footage related to the particles effects part of the course.

Hi Saeed,
Thanks, I’ll check this and pop it up for you.
Ok, that seems to have worked.
I have a theory with regards to the issue you are having, out of interest, do you receive any form of message or error when the upload doesn’t work?
Thanks Rob for the assistance and for going out of your way to upload the footage for me I really appreciate what you are doing and I’m glad that I am part of this friendly community .
When I try to upload it gets stuck between around 10% - 15% so I leave the tab and change to another tab to continue my lessons hoping that when I return It will be ready but instead I find that the upload disappears as if I didn’t upload in the first place… I hope that we can sort this problem somehow and the sooner the better, thanks again Rob.
hmmm… would be good to do a test, if you don’t mind, where you don’t shift the focus to another tab.
However, I suspect that this may come down to the forums trust based permissions. I note that you are a relatively new user, the forum builds up user trust based on a number of factors, but interactions on the forum such as how many posts you’ve read, time spent on the forum, topics posts, posts liked and so on all play a part.
What surprises me though is that if this was the case that there isn’t some form of message from the forum to you, I know that there is for example for new users who try to post more than 3 images in a post etc.
Would you mind trying to upload one of your videos you want to share again, but keeping the focus on the tab in question whilst it tries to upload. Obviously if this hasn’t happened after a minute or so then let me know.
Hi Rob,
This time I payed attention to the tab staring at the upload percentage for about 2 minutes and woosh the upload disappears without a message or warning but this time around 25% I think?
Ok, let me try something this end… bear with me for a sec…
Ok, can you try to upload a video now, to this post - we can tidy it up later… must be under 10mb of course.
Which browser are you using btw?
I tried but no use…
I’m using Google Chrome and I tried to upload in this reply a footage 7.15 mb in size and 8 seconds in length but still same results.
I just used the impersonate feature of the forum to effectively be you, thus my account was logged out, and I was logged in with all of your permissions etc. I was able to upload your previous video file. I think that rules out any account based issues - which is good.
If it is stopping after the same approximately amount of time on each occasion the only other thing I can think of is perhaps whether you have any form of firewall or anti-virus software running which is perhaps intercepting it. Worth checking perhaps?
Also, if you have another browser installed, maybe give that a go also. There’s no reason why Chrome should be an issue, I’m using it here, but again, worth trying.
Hi Rob,
I experimented a little today and I still can’t upload neither by using a different browser like Firefox nor by uploading the footage from another laptop. I also tried switching off the firewall in the process and still same results…
I was able to upload my footage to mediafire and to youtube which suggests that maybe this community forum website is preventing it somehow?
Hi Saeed,
This is very odd, as I mentioned in the other post, I have impersonated you via the forum and was able to upload without issue.
I did contact the providers of the forum software and they suggested a couple of things to try;
- try uploading via a different browser
- try uploading from a different computer
- try uploading from your smartphone *not* connected to your Wifi
The last option I would really like to try if you are able to, not being connected to your wifi when you upload from your smartphone would mean that your entire local network would be removed from the equation.
Would you be able to test this for me? You should be able to copy the movie file to your smartphone via USB and then just browse to the forum.
