Show grid lines over plane

In the video, you can see the gridlines over the plane that’s the floor.

I was wondering if there’s a special setting to do that or not that I missed? I can get something similar if I lower the plane a bit but was wondering if there’s another way.

I’m using 3.0.0.

Hi MrPnut,

I am not sure why this was changed in the newer versions of blender but i noticed the same.
To get around this you can move the plane down ever so slightly on the Z axis so that the grid lines appear above the plane.

Its a bit odd i admit that they changed this but the alternative is switching back and forth to wireframe which is not always ideal.

Hope this helps

Welcome to this site.

As Marc says you can lower the plane a tiny bit. Or you can turn on X-ray. Neither ideal but I assume Blender got more feedback that found it odd to be seeing the grid through the plane.
