ShooterAI Controller Doesn't turn around

I have been following along but maybe I’ve missed something. My AI is moving to the player location just fine but he doesn’t turn around to run back to the start location. Instead he just runs backwards to the start location.

My apologies for double posting, I thought I had rectified the situation. Instead I had checked the orient Rotation to Movement in the character instance.

Everything seems to work fine this way. But is there a way to have this be the default for AI controller…

Do you have Use Controller Rotation Yaw checked in your Character blueprint?

I do have it checked. Should it not be? When unchecked, my controls are all wonky.

Everything seems to be fine at the moment, as I proceeded onto the next lectures. I will revisit this issue in the future to find the root cause.
