Self-Destruct! Unexpected Behaviour

So I got to the end of this lecture, Played the game and shot the other character 10 times;
Then the death animation happened to my character, not the one I was shooting at.

At first I thought that maybe I made a duplicate or something the wrong way when dragging a second ‘target’ shooterCharacter_BP into the scene. -but… why didn’t the animation happen to both characters?

The only other thing I think it could be is, I’m shooting myself not the other character. I have noticed that depending on the angle I’m facing when clicking the trigger the ‘Hit Effect’ sometimes takes place around the Gun Actor and not at some object ahead.

I think I have successfully programmed a Jammed Weapon that deals damage appropriately :stuck_out_tongue:
However I would like to get it working. If anyone has any ideas on where I might have gone wrong based on these observations, that would be great.

We will be fixing this in an upcoming lecture with ignore actors in the ray trace.
