Section 7 - Polar Bear Render

Sculpting is becoming more and more fun!
Here is a Polar bear I tried to sculpt as part of section 7’s animal render.

The face could do with a lot more work but I don’t want to put too much time into this so I don’t get stuck in tutorial hell lol. I also didn’t spend any time putting detail in the back feet.

For the ground, I learnt how to do a displacement map using the cloud texture. Then I used a white noise texture in shader editor and used a color ramp to set the colors to very light blue and white to mimic a snowy effect.

Here is my render:

And this is the reference I worked from:

Thank you all for your great support and thanks to the teachers as well! I’m having so much fun with sculpting!

Very good project! Looks great!
The lighting (purple glow) is a bit strange, with the white in front of the bear.

Very nice Polar bear and scene.

I think the main improvement could be the eye. It is currently too much open, obvious. The photos of the real bear there is no white of the eye, it looks practically only dark.

Thanks for the comments, I made the eye a bit smaller and changed the lighting a bit. Looks a lot better!

Great enhancements, color, eyes. You see, getting feedback on a difficult project. Can create the next level of appeal. Well done!
