Section 4 Lesson 64 Chess Set Style

Okay, So I’m making this a little more challenging than needed. I’m designing my board and pieces around the Lewis (Isle of Lewis) Chessmen. I love the look and think it would be more interesting than the more commonly used design. I may change my mind pending on how hard they will be to construct and time available for me personally. Out of curiosity, has anyone else tried this style and any helpful hints I should know? Thanks.

I have considered making that set.

However if you are a beginner I suggest not even attempting it. If you are already accomplished at sculpting, great, give it a go.

The chess set in the course is chosen to teach you methods of working in Blender. This set would be completely different and the course would serve little purpose to you in making this set.

After a little messing around while trying to follow along with the lesson, I see that. Maybe a project for when I get more skilled, but I agree that it is too ambitious for this lesson and my current knowledge set. Will backtrack to a more modern set. Thanks.
