Section 4- Chess scene - Lamp types

hi everyone, here are my renders from the Lamp types. In the first one I didnt achieve so well the shadows coming from the bottom, the settings tweaking from Eeve are still bit complicated for me… then I saw the method that Mike did and help a lot, there are shadows from the bottom of the models! cheers :smiley: d

I really love the glossy floor reflection!!!

Yes, Eevee shadow accuracy is hard to do.
The object scale has influence too!

Did you do:

  • switched on ambiance inclusion
  • shadow bitmap size to 4096
  • switch on per used lamp, shadows > contact shadows and tweaked the options there.

Thank you!! i really liked as well the result from the floor.

In the first render I switched on ambiance occlusion and the shadow bitmap was at 2048 and also had the contact shadows on, but I didnt do so much tweaking and had the lamps a bit higher… I realized that my clip start from the shadows was also too high and because of the tiny pieces it didnt work so well… Im looking forward to improve in the use of Eeve, its pretty cool what you can achieve with it
