hi for some reason I can’t access edit mode without and object and when I do the Bezier curve tool is not their. I am using blender 2.8.

I would give the video another watch, If i remember rightly we delete the curve in edit mode so we still have its object data.
If you deleted it in object mode than it wont have any object data to go into so you cant delete its mesh data.
