Section 3 Lecture 44 - Reference material - Ok finally got it!

Ok, this seemed so hard to understand but I get it now. Just need to back up and take another look.

  1. Get the real size of your object. 38cm in this bowing pin height. - don’t worry about width as aspect of image will give that later.

  2. Create a box that is 38 units across (or 3.8 as it comes out later)…or since blender does radius on a cube, which means 1/2 of the distance across…that’s 19…and since we are talking 1 grid is 1 unit it’s actually 1.9 radius. – so we end up with 3.8 units across or fake it as 38cm.

  3. Fake the image to match your reference cube and done!

I can see where actual measurable distance units can be a real issue at times. Learning though.
