It’s starting to come together… I think you could get lost in this world of Blender for several days and as long as someone is sliding food under the door…

Nice work! Could be a stylistic choice to keep the background dark, but why not add a bit of light or gradient behind the pyramid?

There is a light back there and I hadn’t noticed until your comment that my mucking about with different settings has eliminated it’s effect.
