Here’s my pyramid. The first one is rendered using Eevee mode. The second one is using Cycles. Why did the Cycles version turn white?
Whoa the bottom one is so lit up!
I know! It’s the same exact file. One is just rendered with Eevee and one with Cycles. I don’t know what the difference is.
Nice
You probably turned on an emission shader.
Due to the fact that Eevee and cycles are completely different render engines. Speed vs. accuracy.
You can get different outcomes, if you don’t fiddle with Eevee the standards propperties.
Hmm as FedPete says it looks like the second is emitting light. So it may well be that Eevee does not use emittion lights unless told to, but cycles starts out using better fuller settings.
So where can I find this setting? I have looked everywhere I can think. I have compared all of my scene settings for both Eevee and Cycles from a different model and they are the same. I looked at all of the material properties too. If I changed this setting it was certainly accidental, and I want to make sure I don’t do it again. I’d like to be able to correct this. Thanks!
Accidentally using emission bdsf not the principled bdsf? In the texture panel or direct in nodes.
Ok, I think I figured out that it is something I did to the material… I am not sure what. But I deleted the material and created a new one and I am not having the same problem. Here’s my “Cycles” Rendered pyramid now.
Thanks for your help!
Looking good now.
