Question: I was working on a challenge - create a house and apply everything you’ve learned so far - and everything went fine to this point, I wanted to apply colour and somehow I linked the door and the house to have the same colour (which I do not want). How to unlink them? Thanks

Look for the number 2 next to the material’s name. Click on the number and it will create a separate copy which you can modify without affecting the original material. Or, delete the unwanted material from the door by hitting the subtract icon and then add a new material
