I’m really enjoying the course thus far. Here’s a screen shot of my Section 1 Lecture 11 challenge – a simple clock tower.
The use of cubes and the cylinder is fairly obvious. The use of the cones might be less obvious. The first cone is the clock faceplate. It is a fairly flat cone, with the upper radius being non-zero (so that it’s not a point) and is set slightly less than the bottom radius. The other cone protrudes from the middle of the faceplate, giving it a pointy center. Cubes are used for the hour and minute hands, as well as the 12-, 3-, 6-, and 9-hour markers. These are hard to see at certain angles.
