Im still not very good in creating good background… 
is there any quality differences if rendered using gpu over cpu. Im using Radeon GPU, not supported for rendering in blender.

You can switch between both of then. accordingly, which one is faster at render your scene.
It depends also strongly how your scene is composed (modifiers, textures, etc).
So, a GPU does not always win with render speed!
