I tried to create a brick tower with a spiral staircase. Without further ado, I present my first render.

Good view of the inner workings of the tower.

Really good take on first section challenge! I like it.
To improve it a bit you could add more variations to the bricks, some might be smaller, some larger, some twisted, etc. Check some reference images too see how real world buildings are being made (i.e., not perfect 
).

Very good round tower and spiral stairs. Had some masters as Jenga taking those bricks out!

I’m an engineer by training, so variation and imperfection are at odds with my designing instincts. I’ll have to work to keep them as I continue to learn blender

The variation in bricks or similar is a very very fine line. Many end up heavily overdoing it. But absolute geometric precision also looks ‘wrong’ to the eye, and telling of a computer created image.
Mortar between bricks is also essential as you go on to greater heights , of towers, lol.
