I started over from my previous attempt and it went better but I still didn’t really get a likeness.
This time, the head shape started off approaching a skull (I even overlayed a free skull asset with low opacity for a bit), then adapting from there.

One thing that annoys me about Rick’s sculpting section is the failure to add in the images behind and to the side of the sculpt. To me that is basic. If nothing else it ensures two angles are profiled correctly. I guess everyone has their own ways. You have good reference images to use too.
