I don’t like the crash bit of the animation. something is off and I couldn’t figure it out. anyways, but I am happy with the rig…

Animation is hard work and some guidelines are in place. See the twelve animation rules from Disney for example. These animation techniques are not discussed in this course.
What I can say, is that you have a lot of camera movement going on.
But still a very good achievement. Practice more!

I was trying to go for a first person view and when the lamp comes alive and starts staring at the camera/person, they are panicking and trying to hide behind the block as the lamp tries to follow.
But if I have to explain it, that means the animation didn’t communicate that well 
And yes. It all does come down to practice in the end.

Did you made a little thumbnail script on paper?
