Scarecrow Pawns


A lot of the basic infantry for armies used to come (& still does, somewhat) from rural villages, so maybe that explains the scarecrow design, as a symbol of farm life. Each pawn is 2900 triangles, medium poly, I’d say.

But why do they carry an umbrella?

If going with such a logic why not make their weapon a scythe? Or a pitch fork.

Great idea, NP5! I added in some pitchforks. There are a lot of medieval fork-like weapons, too, which I may add later on. As for the buckler/umbrella/shield, well, I was thinking about creating an FPS type adventure chess game, with a mountain in the middle of the board, which the pawns can fly up to the summit from certain chess squares, & a tunnel that goes underneath, but, this is still in planning mode. When I can do metal, I’ll add these in:
