I tried scaling the top roof piece, but not all pieces scale in uniform and they end up like this. I scaled down the screenshot for easy viewing, but it plays up either way. What can I do to fix it?

Can you show a before and after Full screen? Lecture time etc.
Odds are it is non applied scales but we are guessing in the dark here. But Grant did most without so it is impossible to guess without more info.
Or it may be you just need to do the parts one at a time.

This can be done by Blender itself, via the ‘Window’ menu bar top left hand side.
On that menu drop down is ‘save screenshot’.

You’ve probably turned on the proportional editing / scaling .
