Saving changes while playing

How do I save changes within the inspector tab while the game is playing?

You don’t. If you want to keep data changed when the game’s running you’d need to copy the component and paste it again when the game is not running. But then you can only do one component at a time. Cinemachine has a setting to save the data while playing, and there are assets on the asset store that allows you to do that but in general it is not possible

Outside specialised tools, SerializedObjects is about it.
