Satisfied but I need help :-o

So here is an rendered image of my lamp…not sure if these will be my final colors, but at this moment its how I felt

However when I exit my rendered mode, and enter to object mode, it seems as if I made some mess with view, or whatever (working in the dark, so I guess I pressed something I shouldnt have :frowning: ) and the thing is that I saved this scene and did not realize what happened and closed the render. Upon opening I could not undo the history :frowning:
Please help somebody

Upload your .blender file
By the looks of outliner it seems everything is in there and you haven’t deleted anything. Most likely it is just hidden.

Replying to keep an eye on this one.
That darkened border issue has come up before and i am still trying to trace what exactly it is, It may have a bearing on what is going on here too.

Animated Lamp.blend (656.4 KB)
Here is my blender file…so if anyone has any idea…I dont think I deleted anything since rendered view shows it all…

Very interesting case. To me this just looks like a bug, everything thats above this strange grey beam doesn’t show up anymore, this also happens with new objects you create and also on different layers. I guess it’s not your fault. Would love to know what causes this as well.

Open toolbar, Scroll down to Display, Toggle Quad view twice and its fixed.

I still dont know exactly what causes it

Thanks this solved it, but though it probably is a bug, it would be good to know its background…I ve sent a message to our teachers, so if they answer, I will let you know! anyway irresistiblejelly thanks this solved my problem…

Hey, you probably accidentally turned on clipping with Alt-B, just press it again

I’m guessing you were using the Renderborder (CTRL+B) and you probably turned clipping on when trying to clear a render border with CTRL+ALT+B
