Meet my rook! Remembering difficulties with mirror modifier pivot points I decided that it would be easier to refuse from it this time.
That would be so cool if you could 3D print that!
Its a learning curve. In the beginning, you forget a lot turning on-off switches or check the current state of the workspace. When you do more projects, this will become easier.
Yep, and this is probably that very moment when I started to understand what they are for and get used to the workflow

Same rook, still fiddling with printer so it’s only an inch high (just enough to be a Monopoly piece lol).
Looks good a start. You should be able to calculate what scaling you need to do from this test piece.
Yeah, It was one of the first Blender models I printed, and made it smaller on purpose. If something went wrong it wouldn’t waste too much time and filament.
