Really curious about that last layer, What is cross-level functionality? And what kind of items do you have in mind? I tried a fuel mechanic with fuel items before, but I wasn’t able to make it work game design wise.

Cross-Level functionality refers to the idea of being able to pass information about the state of the ship from the completed level to the next level. (I’m thinking this will work similarly to passing information about the PC between scenes in an RPG).

Last time working on this game I ran out of motivation to solve the third tier functionality, this time I will power through though:)

That’s quite a nice idea, having to care about something like fuel or whatever across scenes would make the game quite more compelling.
