Robo rampage

I completed the “Complete Godot 3D” Course last week, but I decided spend a bit more time polishing it up and adding my own touch to it.
Here are a few of the changes I made:

  • Swapped out some assets and added a BUNCH more
  • Added a health pack pickup alongside the ammo pickups
  • Gave the robots a search light and a glowing red eye.
  • Created an explosion effect when you kill an enemy
  • Added music and various different sound effects
  • Upgraded the UI with added health bar and various menus
  • Gave the character a sprint function
  • Added a flashlight as I made my game quite dark

and a few more things.

Overall I’m pretty pleased with what I have accomplished, all considering before starting the course I had never made a single game.

Here are a few screenshots, I’d love to know what you guys think.

You did a great job with this! It’s quite amazing how a few environmental changes can impact the game feel. The ammo distribution is also very well balanced with weapon damage and enemy quantity - you can miss a few shots, but you still need to be careful.

Fine stuff!

Played great, really love the atmosphere you managed to put together! The sprint is a little fast. In the future for sprints, you can try a stamina bar so the player can’t hold it and keep running.

Thanks. Yeah I was pleased with how it turned out and I ended up doing more to it than I planned. I will definately look at stamina in future projects i do, but to be honest the sprint I out in there was originally just for me to be able to speed run through to certain areas I was workimg on, save me constantly repositioning my character model when loading up

Well expanded level design and use of props.
the alarm sfx and bg music create a tense ambiance so that is another great point.
the bodies in some lab styled rooms does some environmental storytelling, good design!
UI has been nicely done as well.
great work on the game, loved it.
