Ressource download link broken on this lecture

It’s nothing major, given that it seems to only be one file, and on one lecture, but I still wanted to point it out. Wasn’t sure if this was better suited to post in ask or talk, so if I picked the wrong one, please move.

The download for the Level Plan image doesn’t work, it just redirects to the lecture itself. This is using a PC, but I tried in Chrome, and a fresh install of firefox, both have the issue.
The file is also not available in the downloads section for the 3d course

Hi,

Thanks a lot for bringing this problem to our attention. On which platform do you follow the course? Here or on Udemy?

I’m following the course here on gamedev.tv

Edit:

It appears the same problem is also present with the Textures linked in a later lecture (the video reference is 46_ZR_CU2).
They don’t appear in the download section for the overall course, and the link under the video itself just redirects to the video

Same issue is also present in another later video, for the blood effect image linked under Video 51_ZR_CU2.

Thanks a lot for letting us know about the problem. I forwarded the problem to our team a couple of days ago.

And I’ve just successfully downloaded the zip from lecture 46_ZR_CU2. Not sure if the problem was already fixed or if I misunderstood your question.

Here is a screenshot:

Is this what you see too?

I just checked, and at least for me the link is still broken. While it looks the same as for you, the link is still to the lecture, not the Ressource.

I use Chrome. Which browser do you use?

Try to clear the cache. If there was a problem before, maybe your browser still displays the old state with the wrong link.

Using chrome (latest version) too, but I’ve also tried on a fresh install of firefox, to check if it was related to my browser.

Clearing the cache has had no result unfortunately.

Interesting. Today I got the same problem as you. Maybe there is a technical issue.

If you cannot get the assets, please download them from GitHub.

If you don’t want to download the single files, you could download the entire project as a zip. Click on the green “Code” button.

Thanks!
I did already download the files from github when the issue first came up, just figured I’d mention it regardless so the problem can be fixed for other people that might encounter it in the future.
